What is Hatha Yoga?
The Sanskrit word Ha is the sun and tha is the moon. The sun principle is the prana (life force or breath) in the body. The moon principle refers to apana (physiological force operating in the lower part of the body). Yoga is derived from the Sanskrit root yuj,“to unite.”The union of prana and apana is the objective of this system of yoga. The union is achieved mainly through asanas (yogic postures) and pranayama (breath control).
The Practice

breath are called vinyasas. Pranayama. As long as there is breath in the body, there is life.”Pranayama (breath exercise) is the connecting link between the mind and body. The mind can become attuned to follow the breath and consequently
